EARTh Center Symposium: Sustaining Our Natural Waters

-
Virtual

Join the EARTh Center for our first virtual Symposium, an online professional development opportunity designed for community college environmental technology and STEM educators. This year's symposium will feature the most important natural resource on Earth: water!

The Symposium will be held over Zoom. Dr. Sharyl Majorski of Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College will be hosting the event and bringing several educators, researchers, and industry professionals, to the table to talk with participants about emerging technology and current issues as they pertain to our natural waters: rivers, lakes, oceans, groundwater; and the human impact and needs in regards to these natural water sources. Participants will be expected to engage with each other through breakout rooms and provide some group-based deliverables to reflect the topics that are discussed in the Symposium.

Topics that will be discussed include: PFAS research and classroom education, AI and water resources, ocean acidification, and the societal impacts of infrastructure and resource management.
